This wonderful Swedish folk painted cabinet with all its wear and tear is still simply stunning.
Extremely primitive in structure with the most innocent faux marble door sections. These simple colours work extremely well together. Blue, yellow and off white. The legs and top are black with the artist name and date to the back.
Plenty of patina and heavier wear around frequently used areas. Most of the original wooden construction pegs have been replaced with nails. Two of the legs have been replicated and replaced due to extensive worm infestation, the cabinet has been heavily treated with all worm no longer active.
A working cabinet from the day it was made for sure.
Sourced from the North of Sweden this primitive cabinet has spent the last 150 years living under the aurora borealis.
