A wonderful bench in a branch frame made from cast iron with aged dark green paint.
A stunning piece of mid to late 19th century garden furniture.
Sourced from a stately home in North Somerset in the early 1960s the bench has been with one owner since.
The frame with its leaves and flowers cast around a frame of branches looks great with its weathered paint. The wooden slats have probably some of the best patina I’ve ever seen.
Time and weather have enhanced this magnificent bench.
The frame is strong with no visible cracks. The paint is aged and weather but totally usable with a great look. The back slat is damaged and would need to be replaced although the bench is fine to use without it in place.
