18th century 3 legged low Welsh stick chair
A low stick back stool with seven staves and three legs on a near semi circular seat.
Dating from 1780 and sourced originally from a farm in Betws-y-Coed, North wales.
The original Welsh fireside chair made from a single piece of oak for the back rest and the seat while having the classic three legs which have wear and historic worm damage but are still strong. The colour and patina to this chair are truly wonderful. An outstanding piece of history while still being a usable chair not just something to look at.
Normal age related wear and tear, still strong and sturdy. Some light worm damage to the bottom of the legs which doesn’t detract.
