15th century carved wooded Italian head
A fine young gentleman from Italy with remnants of original paint, dating from the 15th century.
Time has produced some heavy cracks to this beautifully carved head and at some point his nose has been damaged and replaced. These defects simply add character and enhance his image.
A wonderfully decorative piece of history.
